Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a component of Traditional Chinese Medicine and was used as a preventative medicine to balance and harmonise body, mind and spirit. Chinese Medicine is a complete system in itself, and is complementary to Western medicine.
Treatment is the process of re-establishing the energy balance in the body. It involves the insertion of fine stainless steel needles into specific points in the body to maintain and restore health. Most patients find the treatment very relaxing and many fall asleep during treatment.

It is a powerful therapy which can bring about rapid physical and emotional changes. It is effective in the treatment of acute and chronic pain, gynaecological, respiratory, immune disorders, depression, anxiety, skin conditions, sports injuries and many other problems.

Acupuncture may alleviate many conditions very rapidly; however, some conditions that have arisen over a course of years will be relieved only with slow, steady progress. As in many forms of healing, the patient’s attitude, diet, determination, and lifestyle will affect the outcome of a course of treatment. A number of medical insurance companies cover acupuncture under their policies. Please contact your health insurance company to enquire about your coverage. You can claim back money, if you are with HSA.
